Orlando Downtown

Orlando Downtown
Orlando has evolved from a small city centered on the citrus industry to the rapidly growing metropolis we see today – the sixth-largest city in the Southern United States. Nicknamed “the City Beautiful” it's a wonderful and vibrant place to call home with the best of the best in entertainment, theme parks, sports events, business conferences and events and well as the home of corporate and banking regional home offices. For individuals and families interested in outdoor activities, Orlando has close access to Atlanta and Gulf beaches. The Space Coast is just 45-minutes east of Orlando and is also home to Port Canaveral, one of the largest cruise ports in the world.
The unchanging emblem of Downtown Orlando is Lake Eola. It is surrounded by the dining and shopping of Thornton Park, South Eola District and the Central Business District, truly making Lake Eola the center of Downtown. The majestic fountain and graceful swan boats make Lake Eola an exceptional amenity to the area.
Eola Heights
Eola Heights is a historic neighborhood located within the heart of Downtown Orlando. Shady, tree-lined streets cover this residential area within walking distance of Lake Eola Park and the hub of Downtown. The Thornton Park and South Eola Districts are both a short walk away with great retail and dining experiences.

Lake Cherokee
Designated in 1981, Lake Cherokee Historic District contains approximately 160 historic structures, primarily residences dating back to the 1870s. The district boundaries are East-West Expressway on the north, Orange Avenue on the west, Cherokee Drive, and Gore Street on the south and Summerlin Avenue on the east. This area is primarily residential. Building activity began in the 1870s when the Lake was known as Lake Minnie. The eclectic Shingle/Neoclassical style Peleg Peckham-Dr. Phillips House (1893) on North Lucerne Circle East is representative of historical architecture of the City.
